Perfect Pearls
Pearl Mist:
  • Perfect Pearl Pigment Powder
  • Reinker (optional)
  • Mini misters
Tutorial

Dusting Stamp using Perfect Medium. Apply Perfect Pearls with a small brush. Remove excess powder with larger,
duster brush. No need for fixatives. For a increased sticking, just spritz with a light mist of water. Tip: Don’t over
ink your stamp and please allow time for your stamping to dry.

Glimmer Paper Mix glitter glue with ‘Perfect Pearl’ (the powder from the Metallic kit) and add enough water to make
it frothy. Brush this beautiful glaze onto paper or over paper that has been brayered with dye inks. Fabulous over
scrapbook pages and rainbow backgrounds.

Perfect Resist
Take your stamp, press it into an embossing ink pad, press it on the paper. Take Perfect Pearls and brush it over the
paper.

The stamped image will resist the ink. This process can be done in layers for more color.

Perfect Medium & Chalk/Pastels Stamp using Perfect Medium™ on matte paper. Apply chalk with sponge applicators
over the stamped image. Since chalks are actually powdered, dry pigment pressed into a cake, Perfect Medium will
change them to paint and permanently set them. They will intensify in color. For more sparkle, create a Sunflower
Sparkle glaze over the top Stamp an image using Perfect Medium. Lightly apply pastels or paper chalk. The pastel will
turn darker over the Perfect Medium. Use a fixative to stabilize. For a great effect, glaze with Perfect Pearls.

Perfect Medium & Embossing Because of the tacky nature of Perfect Medium, it is a natural embossing ink. It holds
even the thickest powders (like Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel™ UTEE) in place. Remember to add Perfect Pearls to
the embossing powders (our favorite colors of powders to add them to are clear and black) for a luminous effect.

Glazing Perfect Pearls can be made into translucent finishes simply by adding water to form a thin paint. They also mix
well with acrylic gloss mediums and glues. Use glazes as a finishing step to apply over watercolor pencils, pastels, etc

Painting Add water to Perfect Pearls to make paint. The resins are built-in so there is nothing to add. The amount of
water you add will determine how transparent the paint is.

Adding Perfect Pearls To Other Mediums Perfect Pearls mix well with many mediums. Dust clay before curing or add
to clay before working it. Add Perfect Pearls to your favorite embossing paste (Perfect Pearls and glitter glues mixed
together makes paste paper or embossing paste). Add Perfect Pearls to water colors, acrylic paints and finishing
mediums. Always test a small amount first, before jumping in totally. However, we have painstakingly formulated
Perfect Pearls to be versatile enough to mix with almost any medium. Add Perfect Pearls to embossing powder, a small
amount is all you need.

Perfect Pearl On Colored Papers
Perfect Pearl is translucent and provides an interference effect on any paper. The most dramatic results are seen
when using Perfect Pearl on white and on black paper. The same color powder provides totally different results!
However, any color of Perfect Pearl Powder on different colored papers will create a different and interesting
outcome. Experiment and you’ll be pleasantly surprised!!!

Perfect Medium & Resisting Perfect Medium makes a great resist. This can be done in multiple layers by brayering
dye based ink on glossy paper or cardstock, then stamping an image using Perfect Medium and brayering again with a
contrasting color. OR Stamp directly onto white gloss paper and brayer or rainbow sponge with Posh inks.

Stampers and crafters have long had a love affair with all things gossamer, iridescent and sparkling. Hence, our thirst
for pigments and mediums that deliver these beautiful light-laden, transparent tones. The whole concept behind
Perfect Pearls was to create a pigment that provide these luminous colors as well as be extremely user-friendly.
Other versions of luminous pigments were available in pre-mixed glaze and paint forms. However, these pigments
tended to have a long drying time (some up to 24 hours) and their viscosities was predetermined, limiting their
application options. Perfect Pearls was designed to be used wet or dry. Perfect Pearls has incorporated a superior
resin right into the powder. Because of this binder you are in control and can create sheer glazes and breath-taking
calligraphy inks simply by adding water. Nothing else is needed. The dry time is almost immediate. The binder is so
smooth and so compatible with the dry pigment it allows Perfect Pearls to mix well with watercolors, acrylic paints,
inks, and clay. Perfect Pearls are super versatile and super easy to use. Best of all they put the artist in control. The
colors are divine and they mix with many mediums to provide the perfect product for your specific needs. And there is
no waste! You can reconstitute Perfect Pearls with water and reuse them again and again. They really are PERFECT!!!

Perfect Pearls™
Here are some techniques to try using Perfect Pearls™:

Shiny Stone
Brayer dye based ink on Glossy Paper (the paper skin will not be able to absorb all
the ink). Add water to Perfect Pearl™ Perfect Gold (from the Metallics Kit) to
form a creamy paint. With a very fine mist spray bottle, mist paper. Work quickly
and splatter or dab the Perfect Gold paint on with a brush. Spritz with a fine mist
of water again. Manipulate the paper a little to make it start running. Now,
crumple up a paper towel and dab lightly over the entire page to create veins and
texture. A perfect technique to use with Big N’ Juicy™ Rainbow Inks or Nick
Bantock™ inks!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Perfect Resist
Stamp using Clear Perfect Medium™ on Glossy Paper. Brayer dye based ink over
the top. The stamped image will "resist" the ink. This process can be done in
layers for more color.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Perfect Black Resist
Stamp with Black Perfect Medium™ on Glossy Paper. Brayer dye based ink over
the top (Big N’ Juicy™ Rainbow Pads are perfect for this technique!). The stamped
image will "resist" the ink. This process can be done in layers for more color.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Perfect Medium™ & Chalks
Stamp using Perfect Medium™ on matte paper. Apply chalk with sponge applicators
over the stamped image. Since chalks are actually powdered, dry pigment pressed
into a cake, Perfect Medium will change them to paint and permanently set them.
They will intensify in color. For more “sparkle”, create a Sunflower Sparkle glaze
over the top.

Sparkle Batik
Emboss a design with Ranger’s Clear Embossing Powder. Mix Perfect Pearls from
the Sparkle kit with a little water and Artists Watercolor. Brush on and let dry.
Put between sheets of newsprint paper and iron out the embossing powder.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Northern Lights Paper
Add water to several Perfect Pearl™ colors to form creamy paints. Spritz matte
paper with Perfect Ink Refresher™ (the PIR will put some slip and slide in the
paper and allows the pigments to move around on the matte paper - you can use
plain water, but there won’t be as much movement) Quickly dab the paints over the
entire surface and spray with a fine mist of water and manipulate the paper to
make the paint run.

Textured Stone
Add water to several Perfect Pearl™ colors to form creamy paints. Spritz matte
paper with Perfect Ink Refresher™ (the PIR will put some slip and slide on the
paper and allows the pigments to move around on the matte paper - you can use
plain water, but there won’t be as much movement) Quickly dab the paints over the
entire surface and spray with a fine mist of water and manipulate the paper using
a crumpled paper towel to make veins and texture.

Perfect Cosmos Paper
Use Colorit™ pigment ink pads to completely cover a piece of heavy white
cardstock. Emboss with a couple layers of Clear Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel™
(UTEE™). When cool, apply Perfect Medium™ to the embossed surface and dust
heavily with Perfect Pearls™. Don’t shake off excess. Place card on a Non-stick
Craft Sheet™ and sprinkle with UTEE. Do not shake off excess. Emboss with the
Heatit™ Craft Tool. The UTEE will bead up and as the layer underneath heats up
the beads will drop into the bottom layer creating wonderful patterns. The finish
should be smooth and completely sealed.
